About

Painter in acrylics, watercolour, collage & mixed media.

'“What day is it?", asked Winnie the Pooh"It's today," squeaked Piglet" My favorite day," said Pooh”   (A A Milne)

Being a cancer survivor, I turned to painting as a therapeutic pastime in January 2012, which soon became a passion and now I paint every day. Drawing my inspiration from my surroundings, I am particularly attracted to still life, animals and floral.

My portfolio consists mainly of acrylic and watercolour paintings in a variety of genres, but I really enjoy the creative art of mixed media, particularly exploring the use of textures. Every day is a learning experience; always something new to paint, a new challenge, a new approach.

My creative urge sometimes manifests in other ways, so you may find the occassional Robot making an appearance. These are made from vintage and found objects mainly of metal and I call them my Bloke Bots, Biddy Bots, Buddy Bots and Puddy Bots.

I live in rural Lincolnshire, UK, with my Mechanical Design Engineer husband Nick and our Pomeranian dog Max and ginger cat Elfie, plus the occasional orphaned wild hedgehogs, all called Harry to avoid confusion.

My blog won't be confined entirely to art, but to other interests, probably hedgehogs.

To newcomers to my website, thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy what you see in my galleries and on my Easel Blog page.
