Hedgehog Song ....

Not many people know this, except a few hedgehog whisperers, but hedgehogs have a collective song. Here it is. To be sung to hogs at any time, especilly when they are eating.

Sshhh. I can tell you the secrets of the earth and under the earth. I can show you the spirals of the galaxies above. You say I'm up there with the unicorns and spiralling stars You say I speak Dolphin and know the mysteries of magic. When runes were writ large upon standing stones and solstices revered My kind came out from the shadows and forged magic in sacred fires And wove the silver moon strands into our lore. I can bring the charm of the moon down on you Enchant you with my story that's older than eras You see reflected in me all times gone by and more yet to come You look me in the eye and know me, that these things are true I look at you and see the collision of stars reflected in your eyes The understanding of me and of all my kind They call you the hedgehog whisperer, knowing our ways For that I give you our song to sing to the night and in the night and to us. This night is full of magic, the sacred fire aflame.
